Welcome...!

Hello and welcome to the first update on the progress of the extension and alteration of Western House Primary School in Slough.  The proposed new build and extension provides an opportunity to grow and enhance the School's existing environment into an inclusive and dynamic space: to support, maintain and continue to develop its delivery of high learning and educational standards.

The project consists of a new standalone teaching block for Years 5 and 6, and a single-storey extension to the existing building to provide further space for the existing nursery.

The new building has been designed as a sleek pavilion that continues the architectural language of the existing school, and is located towards the east of the site - helping to retain the feeling of openness on the site and to make the most of the School's relationship with its existing landscape and green spaces; while the nursery will be increased in size by providing a new single storey extension on the end of the existing building, that connects back into the heart of the school.

We're very excited to be involved in this project and hope that you will be too. At ADP, the architects behind the design of the School, we believe that architecture is about more than just building: it is about you, and so we hope that you'll keep in touch with how the project is developing and share your thoughts with us on-line.
